Comets tie Citrus in final non-conference match

SAN MARCOS, CA (9/27/2019) – Palomar faced Citrus College in their final non-conference match of the season. The two teams tied 1-1 after Citrus scored in the second half.

The Comets showed dominance in the first half with Arturo Soltero scoring on an assist from Christian Bahena at the 9-minute mark. Palomar shutout Citrus until the 66-minute mark when Imer Figueroa tied it on a free-kick. The Comets had a few shots that nearly missed the net.

Jessi Piazza received his first yellow card of the season.

The men start conference play on Tuesday when they face Southwestern on the road at 3 p.m.
