Trujillo Named PCAC Player of the Year, Earns All-State Honors; Marshall Named Coach of the Year

SAN MARCOS, CA (2/25/2025) -- After an undefeated 14-0 run through Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) play, the Palomar College women's basketball team was well-represented in postseason honors, with Kylee Trujillo earning PCAC Player of the Year and All-State Second Team recognition. Head coach Leigh Marshall was named PCAC Coach of the Year, marking another standout season for the Comets.

Joining Trujillo on the PCAC First Team were Teanna Alaman and Kailani FlournoyAlaman was a consistent force in the frontcourt, averaging 10.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while shooting 45.1% from the fieldFlournoywas a dominant presence on the boards, averaging 12.0 rebounds per game and tying a program record with 25 rebounds in a single game.

Nevaeh Mageo and Angelina De Leon were named to the PCAC Second TeamMageo provided a perimeter threat, knocking down 75 three-pointers during the season and averaging 9.8 points per gameDe Leon was a key contributor on both ends of the floor, averaging 8.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game while adding versatility to Palomar's lineup.

Palomar dominated conference play, finishing with a 16.5-point scoring margin and ranking among the best defensive teams in the region. With multiple all-conference selections and a strong postseason outlook, the Comets are set to continue their success in the upcoming Southern California Regional Playoffs.
